Dee Ryall was elected the Member for Mitcham at the 2010 Victorian State election.
Growing up in Blackburn North, Dee gained her Higher School Certificate from Blackburn High School and completed her Certificate of Nursing at the Alfred Hospital in 1988. In 1991 she gained a Bachelor of Nursing from La Trobe University and has since added qualifications as a Registered Certified Auditor and completed 2 years of her MBA.
Dee was a registered nurse at both the Alfred and Box Hill Hospitals before becoming the Associate Unit Manager in the Orthopaedic and Surgical ward at Dandenong Hospital. Establishing Health Systems Australia Pty Ltd in 1994, Dee became Managing Director of a successful company which merged in 2000 to become Quality Award Partners Pty Ltd (QAP). With QAP Dee was directly responsible for the growth and development of the business.
An active member of the local community, Dee is involved in a number of local organisations. Some of these include the Whitehorse Business Group and the Ringwood Chamber of Commerce. Last year Dee volunteered at the Ferntree Gully Bushfire Relief Centre after fires at Upwey.
Dee has over 25 years in the health industry and has run a successful small business for more than 15 years, and it is in these two areas that she hopes to make a useful contribution. She is also committed to working hard for the important local issues in Mitcham.
